“Thank You” Day is an award-winning public awareness campaign recognising the achievements of health and medical researchers whose work saves and improves lives. “Thank You” Day also recognises the work of philanthropists, advocates and corporations for supporting medical research.

“Thank You” Day provides Australians with an opportunity to think about how medical research has impacted on their lives and acknowledge the work of medical researchers through their own personal experiences. The community is to send a message of thanks by attending an event, visiting the “Thank You” Day website (www.thankyouday.org), by email – thankyouday@researchaustralia.org, by SMS (0428THANKS) or in 2007 by specially designed “Thank You” Day postcard.  The messages generated through the campaign were presented to medical researchers to encourage and inspire them as they strive to help us lead healthier lives.

The messages also support Research Australia’s advocacy activities and are presented to government, corporations and philanthropists to show them that the community values and supports research as an important part of Australia’s future.

The “Thank You” Day campaign is generously supported by sponsors and Research Australia’s Members who share the same vision of increasing awareness and funding for research and its social and economic benefits to the community.
